HOW TO APPEAL TO THE CANADIAN GOVERNMENT ON YOUR IMMIGRATION CASE
It is possible to understand that some problems may arise and even though you may be a Canadian citizen, you are asked to leave the country due to some issue. In that case, you as a citizen have the right to appeal to the government; but who do you exactly talk to?
The answer is that you contact the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, and usually your case will be handled by the Immigration Appeals Division (IAD). The IAD deals with immigration issues such as sponsorships, removal orders and other related matters.
You can appeal on the following conditions;
1. Appeal for sponsorship if as a Canadian citizen, you are not allowed to sponsor a close family member, friend or associate.
2. Appeal on Removal Order if as a permanent or temporary citizen, you are ordered to leave the country.
3. Appeal on the Residency obligation requirement; the government requires certain obligations to be met on a citizen's residence and if those are not met, the person can lose their permanent residence status.
It should be remembered that all of the above matters are handled differently but are handled by the Immigration Appeals Division. For more details on how to correctly and fully deal with appealing process, the conditions and procedure is given on the official immigration website; http://www.irb-cisr.gc.ca/Eng/ImmApp/Pages/ImmApp.aspx
