Ch. Nisar was leading a meeting about migration and issuance of visas to foreigners in Islamabad today. The meeting, which checked on the matter of issuance of visa to American national Mathew Barret regardless of being blacklisted, built up an understanding that no Pakistani consulate ought to issue visa to an outsider without consent from the inside service.
The preliminary investigation report about this occurrence was exhibited to the Interior Minster. As indicated by the report, a visa officer of Pakistani embassy deputed in Houston, who issued the visa to Mathew Barret and the FIA official who submitted carelessness and permitted the American boycotted national to enter Islamabad, were considered in charge of the occurrence.
