Immigration Reforms Coming to the US System

United States of America is an immigrant country. After defeating Japan in World War II and ending the Soviet Republics in 1991, it has emerged as a superpower nation in the world. Economic and technological advancement of the US has led to migration of several global citizens. Pakistanis are one of the largest communities living there and are almost more than 5 million. They have been numerous contributions done in the field of business and finance, intellectualism, arts, entertainment, military and sports by these people.

Donald Trump is elected President in 2017. He is a strong critic of the current law regard immigration and security. He gained popularity after passing Executive Order 13769 which has banned the entry of the public Muslim countries Iran, Syria, Iraq, Sudan, Libya, Somalia and Yemen. He is also planning to build Mexican American Wall for preventing entry of the Mexicans to the US. This idea have also received condemnation within American groups.

Illegal and Tough Immigration of US

Illegal immigrants are in large number in the United States and many of them cannot acquire citizenship due to coming from unlawful acts. It has become major problem in the US. Government of United States also tightened immigration after September 11, 2001 Attacks and permanent residence visa wait times are also increased for the Pakistanis. It could be 10+ years which is very long duration of time. Check some of the countries in which nationality will be easily acquired.

Protests, demonstrations and legal debate has started in the US after passing of executive order. Political and public groups have asked about the immigration policy of Trump and the laws regarding it. Terrorism is a related issue due to the participation of US Government in the global wars against extremism and interfering in the internal matters of many countries.

US Immigration in Future will be better

President Trump has given speech in the Congress on this topic. He has emphasized for the accurate lawmaking of the US immigration. There should be proper rules. Current ordinance regarding it has extremely failed for the United States. He wants to pass a bill on it which will be approved by Congress and Senate. Most of the Americans have welcomed these ideas. Trump wants to focus migration on the basis of merit and has accepted immigration models of United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand etc.

Proposals have been made for the points based system of United States. If legalized this will be effective medium for getting the permanent residence of America.
